In October 2023, FAW Jiefang signed a comprehensive and deepening cooperation agreement with Huawei to build a large-scale model of the commercial vehicle industry based on the Huawei Cloud Pangu model, and develop intelligent driving and intelligent cockpit solutions. In 2024, the L4 level autonomous driving products jointly developed by both parties will enter the road testing stage, with a focus on breakthroughs in scenarios such as ports and industrial parks. For example, in the "1-to-2" autonomous driving formation test on the Jingxiong Expressway (Hebei section), the Jiefang J7 model achieved millisecond level response through vehicle road coordination technology, with a fuel saving rate of 15%. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the autonomous driving products jointly developed by both parties will be mass-produced and applied in low-speed scenarios.
