In June 2024, FAW Jiefang launched the Lantu "Xingyi" liquid hydrogen fuel electric Tractor, equipped with a self-developed 400kW fuel cell system, with a range of over 1000 kilometers and a weight 1 ton lighter than similar products. This model adopts liquid hydrogen storage technology, which increases the hydrogen storage density by three times and shortens the refueling time to 15 minutes. In port testing, vehicles completed 24-hour uninterrupted operations, reducing the transportation cost of single box Cargo by 20%. At present, the Liberation Liquid Hydrogen Heavy Truck has carried out demonstration operations in Shanghai, Chengdu and other places, and plans to achieve mass delivery by 2025.
